The Barratts Solicitors team

When you need expert, authoritative legal advice on your claim, you can rely on Barratts Solicitors. We have years of experience, specialist training and dedication to our clients. This means we succeed where others don’t!

You will discover that Barratts gives you a different approach to the big firms. Our ethos is to remain as a small niche practice so we don’t have to answer to shareholders or a large corporation. We can put you first instead because we are passionate about helping clients who have been injured.

To give your claim the best chance of success, you need to have independent advice from a dedicated senior lawyer. You need someone with experience and time to handle even the most complex cases. This is exactly what Barratts Solicitors provides. Clients tell us that that they really appreciate working with a small team because we get to know each other well.

Unlike some firms, Barratts never employ junior lawyers or non qualified “para-legals”. When you work with us you always deal with a small experienced team. We pride ourselves on giving personal, consistent advice from solicitors who know your case.

Legal 500 and Chambers listings

The Legal 500 and Chambers Directory are independent guides that rank law firms across England and Wales. They rely on recommendations from clients and experts. Only a few firms around the UK are included in the guides. Barratts Solicitors is consistently listed as a leading firm in Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence in the Midlands in both the Legal 500 and Chambers Directory. We achieve this year on year.

If your case is complicated, a junior or non qualified lawyer might tell you that you won’t succeed. This is why Barratts is different. Our team is highly qualified and experienced so we often take a different view. This is why we run cases other firms won’t take on. It’s also the reason that our reputation is second to none.

Named the leading firm to turn to for personal injury and clinical negligence claims.

All our lawyers are recognised experts in their own right but the best praise comes from our clients. Many people who live outside the Midlands area still choose us to act for them. We have clients all over the UK as well as abroad. All our clients tell us that our sensitive approach makes all the difference. You can read some of their stories in our case studies.

You can rely on us to put your needs first. We make it a priority for you to get early rehabilitation because this gives you the best possible recovery after your injury. We also understand how important it is for your family to be looked after properly.

It’s not just our clients who value our work. Our team of specialist lawyers is recognised nationally and we are all recommended by specialist independent panels and legal guides. This shows that other professionals respect us too.

Clients recommend us!

Did someone recommend Barratts to you? Nearly all our clients come through a personal recommendation and we are very proud of that. We believe it shows that former clients and professionals trust us to help you.

Because we handle all claims with the same dedication we are confident that you will get the same outstanding care that we give to all our clients. We know that you are probably having a difficult time at the moment. We promise to listen to your needs and minimise your stress whilst you recover. Our lawyers have years of experience and we will do all we can to achieve the best possible result for you.

We are community spirited solicitors

Over the last 30 years all of our lawyers have worked in the community and because we have always represented injured clients we know how a serious injury changes lives. A retired partner was a former Chair of Trustees of  Headway Nottingham. Current Director, Alison Brooks, is past Secretary of Headway North West London, past Chair of Trustees of Footprints Conductive Education Centre ( a local charity for pre school children with neurological injury or Downs Syndrome) and past Secretary of the UK Acquired Brain Injury Forum (“UKABIF”). We also  support Spinal Injury and Cerebral Palsy charities and were one of the first lawyers to actively sponsor paraplegic sports. We are past sponsors of disability access at Nottingham Playhouse.
