Rachel’s Claim after a Car Accident Left her Paralysed
Rachel was paralysed in a car accident. We helped her to claim compensation that will provide her with financial security for the rest of her lift. Importantly, she can use this money to support herself and cover the costs of her care.
Rachel was just 19 when she was involved in a car accident that left her paralysed. She contacted our Personal Injury team and asked them to pursue her claim for compensation for her spinal injury.
When we first spoke to Rachel, our top priority was to find somewhere suitable for her to live. Clearly she needed an adapted house and within months of the accident the Court ordered a substantial interim payment. This allowed Rachel to purchase a bungalow in the country so she could live in a location that she loved. She then employed specialist architects to extend her new home and adapt it to meet her needs.
Life after a Spinal Injury
Rachel was a very keen dancer before her injury. After the accident she structured her life around a regular and rigorous exercise programme. This helped her both physically and mentally and she received expert assistance from an experienced physiotherapist.
Five years after the accident, Rachel became the proud mum of Chloe. She now cares for her daughter, with the help of a nanny.
Rachel’s compensation will provide her with financial security for the rest of her life. We are delighted that our specialist spinal injury solicitors were able to help her achieve this.
