Compensation for David After a Car Accident as a Child

At the age of 6, David ran across a road and was hit by a car. His parents received negative advice from a solicitor but they asked us for a second opinion. We took on his case and, although it took time, we helped David obtain £1.75 million compensation.

Unfortunately David sustained a serious head injury during the accident and his parents sought legal advice. The solicitor they consulted told them that David had no claim and turned his parents away. Our Personal Injury team reviewed their situation and we felt they had grounds for a claim. We successfully established that the car driver’s insurers would pay full compensation to David.

However, it was still a long time before the full effects of the head injury could be established. We obtained interim payments which enabled David to purchase an adjoining property to his parents. This meant that he could live in his own home but have his family close at hand to support and care for him. In the end, the insurers agreed to a final settlement of 1.75 million pounds.
